Partner with us

At Amis Des Ecoles, we rely on a network of organizations in a variety of industries to help us achieve our mission and goals. Whether these organizations have 1 employee or 1,000, we consider them our partners because they contribute company assets, such as expertise, supplies, building materials, retail distribution channels and so much more. Aside from the satisfaction that giving back provides to our partners, there are important benefits that businesses will enjoy – building a positive reputation in the community, encouraging public relations and marketing opportunities, widening the organization’s network and promoting employee engagement.

Volunteer

If you have a big heart and a desire to give back, consider volunteering for Amis Des Ecoles. Studies show that volunteering can reduce stress, help you meet new friends, connect with the community, learn new skills and even advance your career! We need individuals with all types of skills and expertise for our projects. We also offer university or master’s-degree internships, which can be done in combination with your thesis or other research projects.

Working with the talented and passionate team at Amis Des Écoles has been nothing short of amazing. Since coming aboard in late 2019, I have been consistently impressed by the dedication of both the volunteers, field team, and of course, Amal Zniber. In the early months after my move to Morocco, I felt a deep need to contribute to the country that was so graciously hosting me. Amis Des Écoles has given me a way to do that while continuing to grow my skills and understanding of life in Morocco. I am forever grateful to my colleagues and all who support Amis Des Écoles and our rural partner communities for the chance to contribute to this beautiful mission.

In 2019 I was lucky to come in contact with Amal Zniber and spent the summer volunteering for her amazing non profit organisation Amis Des Ecoles. It was an intense and eye opening experience in which I saw a lot of poverty-stricken regions of morocco. I am very grateful because of having met so many wonderful people in this time which made my love for this country just grow even bigger. Hopefully I will soon be back to have more adventures with the team of Amis Des Ecoles.

It is such an honour to have the opportunity to contribute to society through volunteer work at Amis des Ecoles. My tasks involve managing the Instagram page and putting together graphic designs which resonate with the NGO’s image and current activities. Knowing I can make a small difference from my computer is truly meaningful in today’s interconnected world. Working with Amal Zniber makes me feel more complete as a human being and I encourage everyone to find a purpose in life that will fill their heart. Oh, and it’s never too late!

Since my husband and I moved to Morocco from California in 2017, I have witnessed an incredible culture filled with warm open people. I have also witnessed extreme poverty and great need. When I met Amal and learned about Amis Des Ecoles, I was immediately drawn to her passion and vision to transform the lives of rural Moroccan school children. Since Jan 2019, I have had the opportunity to use my professional experience to guide the organization’s marketing and donor communications strategy. We now have a team of incredibly talented volunteers and our reach has now gone global! I feel honored to be a part of such an honest organization and I look forward to our continued growth.

Eva Klewno

Architect, married to a Moroccan, mother of three wonderful kids

As an architect specialising in energy efficiency and sustainability, I help Amis des Ecoles to develop concepts for rural schools and facilities in order to increase the comfort in the rooms, to ensure the quality of the construction work and to choose materials that are locally available, affordable and as easy to implement as possible. Precise planning helps to keep the construction costs low, to raise the quality and to keep construction defects low. It is very fulfilling for me to see how comfortable children and women feel in the new rooms. The children and women no longer suffer from extreme heat or cold and can thus concentrate on their education. The work is very challenging. You must always source the most affordable and sustainable materials, guide the workers in such a way that the tasks can easily be carried out.
